Dark Downs 50k
Some of us are running the Dark Downs 50k, an ultra that starts after dark and goes through the night. We have a house for the whole weekend, so the days either side are for getting ready and getting outdoors. One slot is still open, to run it or just come and support.
What we’ll get up to
- Friday
- Head down to North Chailey and settle into the house. Pasta party, easy night.
- Saturday
- Race day, and it starts after dark.
- Sunday
- A slow morning and a walk if legs allow, then home in the afternoon.

A barn conversion with a sheltered courtyard, ours for the weekend. Somewhere to sleep before the race, and somewhere to collapse into after it.
